Iavro commends MALAMPA officers
Commissioner of the Vanuatu Police Force (VPF) Robson Iavro officiated the confirmation of police officers that were on probation in the last two years and promotion of officers under the MALAMPA Command based in Lakatoro, Malekula, yesterday morning.
Iavro commended the officers on their hard work through their two-year probation period. He reminded them of the oath they made on the day they passed out from Police academy.
They were trained to serve their country.
“You have completed your probation period. Today, you become a permanent police officer. This has reaffirmed your commitment with the Force,” Iavro stressed.
He also reminded the officers to continue to carry out their duties professionally.
To officers that were promoted to higher ranks, the Police boss also thanked them for their service and commitment within the Force, and specifically, under the MALAMPA Command.
He said their promotions are made in recognition of their dedication, hard work and sacrifice during their service over the years.
Iavro congratulated all the officers for their achievements. He encouraged them to grab all opportunities to broaden their knowledge and advance their policing skills in their career.
The Commissioner also reminded the officers to always bear in mind that they are expected to execute their duties professionally, ethically and with integrity, to ensure the communities enjoy whatever services they are offering.
He further thanked the officers for a job well done throughout the festive season.
Iavro took the opportunity to thank relatives of their officers for their ongoing support.
Recently, the Police Commissioner conducted a similar exercise in Port Vila which saw at least confirmation of 32 officers as permanent officers, while 84 were promoted to higher ranking.
